In that role, Katie provides social media strategy for Lowe's Home Improvement and leads a team who manages all paid social media for Lowe's. Prior to her role, Katie was the Engagement Marketing Manager for Gazelle, a late-stage consumer start-up based out of Boston, MA, where she managed social media, emerging platforms, events, and launched Gazelle's content marketing program and blog. Katie grew up in Massachusetts and attended Bentley University in Waltham, MA and recently moved to North Carolina. In her spare time she competes in equestrian sports.

Anne Doyle has been on the front lines of women's progress for four decades. She began her career as a pioneering TV News and Sports journalist in the 70's and 80's. For her leadership role in opening sports locker rooms to female reporters, she was inducted into the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame. Anne then moved to the business world, rising through the ranks at Ford Motor Company to become Director of North America Communications. In 2000, Automotive News named her one of the "100 Leading Women in the Auto Industry." She is a single mom who took an early retirement from the corporate fast track to re-invent herself once again when her son, Kevin, was hitting his teens. That's when she began working on her book, Powering Up! How America's Women Achievers Become Leaders. Anne also took the advice she gives to other women, running for and recently completing a 4-year term on the Auburn Hills City Council. A global speaker and voice for the empowerment of women and girls, Anne has been asked by the U.S. State Department to speak in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Trinidad & Tobago and Spain. On today’s show we are speaking with Amanda Brooks; Marketing & Communications Manager for USA Track & Field. Amanda took over managing USA Track & Field’s social marketing efforts in November 2013. Since then, USATF has seen a follower growth of over 200% across all platforms. Before her time at USATF, Amanda spent six years working in college athletics as a sports information director. She began her career at Vanderbilt University, where she attended graduate school and worked in the athletic media relations office with every varsity sport. Amanda then took an internship with the Florida Gators in June 2010 and was hired full time a year later. While there, she worked with the football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s track and field, women’s lacrosse and women’s volleyball programs. Her teams combined for three NCAA championships and four conference titles in her time with the Gators. Along with managing social media for USA Track & Field, Amanda is a spokeswoman for USATF at many domestic and international elite track & field competitions.

In May 2013, with a move 'across the pond', she decided to pursue a career that better suited her personality, drive and compulsion to organize and plan!
