All The Social Ladies with Carrie Kerpen

Recently I did an episode of All The Social Ladies where I interviewed teenagers and it was called "From the Mouths of Babes," and I talked to, not only my own daughter, but another girl who is 15 years old. So for this episode, I decided to go "From the Mouths of Millennials." I talked with Lia Brouillard who is a recent graduate of Emerson College, all about how how she uses social media, not only in the classroom, but in her job search and just her overall everyday experience. Take a listen!

Pop quiz! Do you know what a "Yerd" is? A yerd, is a "Year Book Nerd." I learned that from Katherine Morgan who is the social media manager at Herff Jones, maker of student year books. They have such an interesting strategy about how they engage socially with these yerds which, is all the kids and advisors that are on year book committees, to help them convince others of the need to have a printed year book. It's no surprise that the shift to digital has had a tremendous impact on this. Their approach really is fascinating - take a listen!

On this week's episode, I talk to Aleesha Smalls-Worthington. Aleesha is at Iconix Brands Group but she's had a long history of trailblazing before that. She basically was the right-hand woman to Jay-Z and helped discover some other small acts like Rihanna, Willow Smith and Rita Ora - you know, no big deal! Anyway, now she's building many different brands under the Iconix Group - I think you've heard of a few of them. Take a listen!

Today, I am so excited to talk with Alex Nicholson. Alex went from being a rave promoter, that’s right-- to growing throughout her career and leading B2B social media efforts on a global scale. Quite a career transition. You’re going to hear an incredible story that focuses on her non-traditional path-- one that is very real and will resonate with a lot of young women. You’ll also learn a lot about B2B marketing in social media and how Pegasystems has used social to drive leads in a way that I think is unique and really compelling. Take a listen!

As a woman who owns an independent agency, I was completely blown away when talking to Gay Gaddis. Gay Gaddis is the Founder and CEO of T3 which, is the largest woman-owed, independent advertising agency in the country. With over 200 employees nationwide and more than $300 million in capitalized billing, she is a total trailblazer. She has numerous awards under her belt including being part of Fortune's Most Powerful Women network. What's most interesting is the versatility within Gay's career-- she's not only an agency owner, she's a rancher, she's an artist and she's doing incredible things!
